The signs are made from pine clapboards that we removed from the interior of our house shortly after we bought it and started renovating it. The boards are at least 60 years old.

The signs are painted then a crackle finish is applied. Next the lettering is hand painted and decorative stenciling is added. I distress the painting and edges for a worn look. A polyurethane top coat is applied so the signs can be used indoors or outside. You may find imperfections in the wood such as nail holes, chips and cracks due to the age of the wood and the fact that it is being recycled. I feel this adds more character to the signs. The signs also vary in size. They are 3-5 inches wide and 13-18 inches long.

I have included a list of more sayings and color options to special order any number of different signs. Got a favorite saying! I can make it into a sign for you. Just email me and let me know what you have in mind.

Allow up to 3-4 weeks for your order.

Please remember that these signs are hand painted and faux finished. When they are done there is at least 5 layers of paint on each sign and every layer must dry completely before the next is applied.
